Right, the old "tell something about yourself"... How often have I had that question at a job interview? Dozens of times. How many times have I wanted to answer "Well, to start with, I hate that question"? Just as many times. Where to start? What to tell?
At the moment I'm studying Translation. I already have a degree, but this kept swirling around in my head, so I decided to give it a shot as well. At this very moment, I'm struggling to keep believing it was the right thing to do, but I've come this far, I better go to the finish.

I love music, it's what keeps me alive. I always call it a healthy addiction, it doesn't kill you. But it costs! And the worst of it all is, when you want to know more about a band you like, you're bound to come in contact with names of other bands. Curious as I am, I check them out... At least 7 times out of 10 I like that new band too. It's a never-ending story! Because I still live with my parents, I have to stock all my CDs in my room and it's becoming problematic. I think when I move out, I will have to find a place with a room dedicated to CDs and DVDs alone, or something. But that's for in a few years.

I'm fond of movies as well. I have a soft spot for the predictable soppy teeny chick flicks (lethal mistake, I know, sorry!), I guess just because you can switch off your brain and just watch, since you know how it will end anyway. But I can definitely appreciate good action, fantasy, science fiction, horror, comedy. Something I really can't stand is sex scenes only to make a movie last longer than an hour. Or movies (be it action, horror, comedy, whatever) that go nowhere, but have loads of explosions, blood and idiotic gags thrown together for the only purpose of having the "hero" running (in slow motion of course) through fire, without the slightest burn mark. Oh so realistic, peeps! Bravo!

I love reading. Thanks to my sister, I have been a member with the local library since I was two years old. If I ever sit opposite you in the train or something, please forgive me for reading your paper or book or whatever upside down. It’s the letters! They have a compelling effect on me. I just have to read!! Or maybe I’m just curious. :-)
Every now and then I try a little writing myself. That’s actually why I made this LiveJournal account. To post my stories, because for some of them, I haven’t found an appropriate forum. But I’m having cold feet already, before even posting the first sentence on here!
